-
Lecturer/Organist: Robert Fertitta
Looking for a stimulating and interesting program to attend during the
cold winter? Come and warm up to a great program filled with interesting
information and fabulous organ playing. An overview of chorale prelude
composition — looking at numerous examples by the masters in which a
pre-existing melody is set in a particular texture; using repertoire
from early Baroque all the way up to (Vierne, Mendelssohn) Langlais.
Don’t bother to drag your scores- the music will be projected right
before your eyes. And members - you are asked to prepare your favorite
chorale and participate by performing it so that discussion may ensue
from the lecture material presented.
